This week’s blog post will be short because nothing much happened this week! In a way, I’m thankful for the rest, but at the same time, I don’t have anything to do, and I’m lazy and socially anxious, so even if I wanted to do something (like go to the art museum down the street), I didn’t. I know, I’m my own worst enemy, but lets not look at this as a defeat. I had the chance to relax and recuperate a little so that I can attack these upcoming weeks with fervor and fire!
School was not that bad this week. Class was canceled on Wednesday for unknown reasons, so I loved that. I have my first round of tests coming up, and I should have used my not-busy weekend to study for it, but did I do any studying? Of course not, cause I am not smart at all. So the weekend before my first two tests, we have our trip to Salamanca, and then that Monday, so after one tests and the night before the other, I have my blackbear concert (super hyped for). However these classes are super easy, so I am not too worried about these tests. I just have to make sure I know the theory behind everything, cause they test heavily the theory. So thats gonna be boring cause I just want to solve problems, not tell you properties of stuff. But oh well
Something fun that happened this past weekend was called Perroton. It was a dog marathon where people would run a 4 km track with their dogs, and all the proceeds went to adoption centers for dogs. Panth was in heaven, and it was fun too!! So all around good times. After that, we got churros and chocolate for breakfast at San Gines, which was a heavenly experience! The chocolate was so rich and the churros were fresh, and when you took a bite, it all just dissolved in your mouth. 10/10 would go again.
I thought this was cool, but since the anniversary of the Las Meninas painting happened recently, they have different statues of Las Meninas spread all throughout the city, which I think its cool! It reminds me of the mermaids through out Norfolk that are made and painted in a ton of different ways.
In conclusion, this week was very chill. It was very nice to have a relaxing week, cause this will be the last one until December, which even then won’t be relaxing since it will be cold and I will be studying for finals. Almost halfway through with my trip here, which is scary, but this place is starting to grow on me. Everyone here is so nice and accepting of my bad Spanish, I am still learning a lot of Spanish, and the chill nature everywhere is something I could get used to. I started receiving the supplies for my ski trip at the end of November, so I have my ski pants, goggles, and camera holder for my ski pole (oh yea, we gonna be vlogging that trip too). I finished reserving my scuba and surfing lessons for Lanzarote as well, and am super excited for that trip. But right now, all I have to do is wait for those trips. So until next time, thanks for reading!!
(Also, little side note, my mom decided to get another cat. So say hi to Shay)
