Buenos Dias mis amigos!

I leave in 5 days, and all I can say is, homesickness is gonna be difficult for me. I already can feel the fear of being in a new place setting in, and I haven’t even left the country yet. I think my Spanish is better than it actually is, I still have no idea if I can take all of my necessary classes, and still the only person I know there will be Panth. However, I also know that these things will change and by the end of the trip, I will not want to leave Spain. You know that feeling of dread that is mixed with excitement, like you don’t want to do something but at the same time you can’t wait to do it? Yea, that’s pretty much it.

I haven’t started packing yet, but that’s not that hard. I just have to be smart about this. I get 1 free checked bag, but it cannot be more than 50 pounds, yet it needs to be lighter because I know I will be bringing stuff back. So that’s even less stuff that I can actually bring. Please feel free to give me tips, because I am a notorious overpacker and I cannot be on this trip.

Also, VCU decided to, unlike every other semester, to give me my room and board portion of my scholarship, but not my tuition, which I need to pay for this trip. So now, I am $8,000 short of my payment, and I have no idea where it is. They said everything was taken care of, but I still do not see it, and now I am starting to get worried.

As you can see, there is a lot to worry about for this trip, and as usual, there is nothing I can do about it. Please send me prayers for strength to get through this, because I know as soon as I step on that plane, everything will be fine, but up until then, Imma be restless at night because VCU is takin their own sweet time.

So for this trip, after talking with some people, I have decided to do this blog as follows: I will do weekly posts with pictures for the general routine of things, where I will share events and thoughts of the week, but for weekend excursions, I will probably do a vlog format, and either post those here or on a YouTube channel or something. Just be ready for some weekend excursions to Morocco, Rome, and Granada, cause I cannot wait to go on those! Next time I post on here, I will be in Spain!!
